MoU signed with UAE on Establishing a Joint Cooperation Committee

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates on Establishing a Joint Cooperation Committee, at a ceremony held this afternoon at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi.
The MoU will further strengthen the existing fraternal ties between the two countries by promoting cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. This collaboration will facilitate the realisation of common goals and aid in increasing the capacity for growth of the two nations.
The Government of Maldives marks this as a significant landmark of the strong bond effusively cherished by the two countries.
The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Official Visit to the United Arab Emirates by His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. His Excellency the President is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Abdulla Shahid and the Minister of Environment, His Excellency Dr. Hussain Rasheed Hassan.
