Foreign Minister departs to Germany to participate in the Berlin Climate and Security Conference

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid departs to Germany this morning, to attend the Berlin Climate and Security Conference which is scheduled to be held from 4 June, in Berlin.
This Conference brings together Governments, international organizations, the private sector, civil society, research and academia at the highest level to discuss the growing risks of of climate change on peace and security. The focus of the discussion will be on possible solutions needed for forward-looking and preventative foreign and security policy.
During the visit the Minister Shahid will also be attending the Fourth German-Asian Business Dialogue scheduled to take place on 5th June 2019 and hold meetings with senior officials from the German Government.
The Minister is attending the Berlin Climate and Security Conference on the invitation extended by His Excellency Heiko Maas, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
