President Solih inaugurates the Maldives Partnership Forum 2019

The President of Maldives, H.E. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih today inaugurated the Fourth Edition of the Maldives Partnership Forum.
During the ceremony, a short video was played outlining the Government’s vision of Jazeera Raajje. Welcome remarks was delivered by His Excellency Abdulla Shahid, Minister of Foreign Affairs. Following this, His Excellency Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, the President of the Republic of Maldives addressed the delegates. Thereafter, His Excellency Ibrahim Ameer, Minister of Finance, delivered his remarks. The President and Ministers recognised the valuable contribution of strategic partnerships in realising the Government’s national development agenda and highlighted the importance of inclusivity and sustainability in development.
The ceremony was attended by the President, Vice President, Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, resident and non-resident Ambassadors and senior officials of the Government.
Over the course of the day, plenary sessions on Macroeconomic and Fiscal Overview, Blue Economy and Enhancing Social Outcomes will take place.
The Maldives Partnership Forum 2019 is co-hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance, and will take place from 17-18 June 2019 at Kurumba Maldives.
