The Ambassador of Republic of Maldives to Switzerland, His Excellency Dr. Asim Ahmed presented his Letter of Credence to the President of the Swiss Confederation, His Excellency Mr. Guy Parmelin, at a ceremony held this afternoon at the Federal Palace of Switzerland.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Asim Ahmed conveyed greetings from His Excellency, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives to the President, and the People of Switzerland. Ambassador Asim further expressed commitment to work closely with the Government of Switzerland during his tenure with a renewed focus on enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries.

During his visit to Bern, Ambassador Asim Ahmed paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Raphael Nägeli, Head of Division Asia and Pacific at the Federal Department for Foreign Affairs and discussed further strengthening the traditional close and friendly relations between the two countries.
