Ambassador of Maldives to Belgium H.E. Omar Abdul Razzak presents the Letter of Credence to His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Maldives to the Kingdom of Belgium, His Excellency Omar Abdul Razzak, presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium. The ceremony took place earlier today at the Palais-Royal in Brussels.
During the private audience following the Credential Ceremony, King Philippe welcomed Ambassador Omar and congratulated him on assumption of his duties as the Ambassador of Maldives to Belgium. Ambassador Omar expressed appreciation for the friendly welcome and conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives.
Ambassador Omar assured King Philippe of his commitment to work closely with the Government of Belgium to further strengthen the bilateral relations and foster closer collaboration between the two countries on areas of common interest, such as promoting tourism, trade and people-to-people contact.
Ambassador Omar was accompanied by Ms. Mariyam Seena, Counsellor at the Embassy of Maldives in Brussels and Ms Fathima Reena, First Secretary.
