The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Maldives to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Excellency Omar Abdul Razzak, presented his Letter of Credence to the King of the Netherlands, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander. The ceremony took place at the Noordeinde Palace in Den Haag.

His Majesty welcomed Ambassador Omar, expressing pleasure to receive the new Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Ambassador Omar thanked His Majesty the King for the audience and conveyed the greetings and good wishes from His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives.  

During the private audience following the Credential Ceremony, Ambassador Omar assured King Willem-Alexander of his commitment foster closer ties between the two countries and further enhance bilateral cooperation on areas of common interest.

Ambassador Omar was accompanied by his spouse Mrs Aminath Zahir and the First Secretary at the Embassy of Maldives in Brussels, Mrs Fathima Reena.
