The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Moosa Zameer, has arrived in Belgium on an official visit to increase the ongoing engagements with the European Union. During the visit, the Minister is scheduled to meet key senior officials of the European Union (EU) and members of the European Parliament. The engagements will focus on elevating and strengthening the Maldives – EU relations.

The Maldives and the EU have a strong partnership in addressing common challenges. Cooperation between the two holds substantial geopolitical and economic significance.

Minister Zameer's visit marks a significant step towards strengthening ties and advancing cooperation between the Maldives and EU on areas of mutual concern.

During the visit minister Zameer is also scheduled to participate in the third EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum.
